"Ken Blackburn"
Ken Blackburn has an M.F.A from the University of Windsor and a B.F.A. from Queen's University. He has travelled and worked extensively across Canada and around the world. Ken utilizes a broad range of materials and mediums, applied to sculpture, painting, collage, drawing, installation and performance. Much of his recent work has an interest in application within overall community development.
Blackburn is currently offering a course in Sculpture at Emily Carr School of Art in Comox, BC.

This suite of seven stunningly intricate Japanese rice paper collages challenges the viewer to explore movement and meaning in both terrestrial and celestial terms. Vibrantly alive it uses pattern placement to draw the eye across and into the work. these works reflect Blackburn's personal international experiences and extensive formal education in the arts.
